Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI is a method for producing images of inner organs such as the brain simply by means of magnetic fields and without radioactive exposure. By measuring changing blood oxygen levels within the brain this method can visualize activation of different brain regions during the performance of a task (so-called functional MRI). The tasks which could be performed during a measurement of this sort, can range from simple perception to more complex decision making tasks, just as it is the case in behavioral and EEG measurements.
